GENERAL RULES OF IREM C.C. GOLF COURSE.

 

A.        GENERAL RULES.

 

 

1.         All Golfers and guest must register in person at Pro Shop prior to play, with no exceptions.

 

2.         All Golfers must be present at the club prior to their scheduled starting time; failure to comply will result in loss of position.

 

3.         No practicing is permitted on the golf course. All golfers must use practice areas provided.

 

4.         No twosomes are permitted before 1:30 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

 

5.         The starter will be in charge of the first tee, under the supervision of the Pro.

 

6.         Any infraction of these General Rules of Irem C.C. will be reported to the President of the I.G.A. for appropriate action.

 

7.         Starting on any hole other than No. 1 without approval of the starter or the Pro is prohibited

 

8.         U.S.G.A. rules govern all play except when local rules are provided by the Pro or the Tournament committee.

 

9.         All golf scores must be posted to insure a true handicap.

 

10.       Singles, twosome and threesomes hold no priority on the golf course; therefore they cannot expect to play through other groups.

 

11.       Dress code is in effect at all times between March  1st  and October  31st  

 

12.       Fivesomes are not allowed between March   1st  and October  1st,  balance of the time with the approval of the Pro.

 

13.       Outside events are necessity at Irem and will be scheduled accordingly

 

14.       Slow play will be controlled by the ranger and/or Pro Shop

 

15.       Guests may play once a week (excluding outside tournaments) including Irem Tournaments except when allowed by tournament rules. Each week starts on Sunday and ends on the close of business on Saturday. The exception to this rule is when the guest is an out of town guest of the Noble.

 

16.       Absolutely no alcoholic beverages will be allowed below the state highway dividing the golf course between holes number 8 and 9, 14 and 17 and dissecting number 1.

 

B.         GENERAL RULES FOR I.G.A. MEMBERS

 

1.         To be eligible to play golf on an annual basis a member of Irem must have his dues paid in Irem  before an Annual I.G.A. Golf Membership is issued.

 

2.         All I.G.A. membership fees are payable in full by March 15th.

 

3.         I.G.A. membership classifications shall be as defined in the IGA By-Laws.

 

 

C.        I.G.A. LADIES AND JUNIORS

 

1.                  Every Tuesday is Ladies Day. Ladies must tee off until 11:30 A.M.  Men will not tee off until

11:30 AM.

 

2.         Ladies and mixed groups must tee off prior to 9:00 A.M. or after 11:30 A.M. on weekdays and after 11:30 A.M. on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

 

3.         Ladies may invite guests only within their time schedule.

 

4.         Ladies outside tournaments must be scheduled on Tuesdays only and their championship tournament on one Thursday within the time frame of the tournament.

 

5.         Junior golf hours are restricted to prior to 9:00 A.M. and after 3:00 P.M. on weekdays and after 4:00 P.M. on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Junior golfers are exempt from these restrictions with approval of the Pro.

 

6.         Golf groups with juniors must adhere to the starting time restrictions.

 

7.         Junior members under 18 may not invite quests. Junior members 18 and over may invite guests only on weekdays and only with approval of the Pro.

 

8.         The dress code is in effect at all times for all golfers.

 

9.         Junior members must be 18 years of age to participate in I.G.A. tournaments.

 

10.       Junior members do not have privileges on the golf course therefore it is the responsibility of the junior member to allow senior members to play through.

 

D.        NON-I.G.A. MEMBER GENERAL RULES

 

1.         Shriners holding a paid up A.A.O.N.M.S. dues card may play upon payment of daily green fees on weekdays and before 8:00 a.m. and after 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, except as a guest of and when accompanied by an I.G.A. Member.

 

2.         Third Degree Master Masons may join the I.G.A., for golfing privileges only, for one year by paying the applicable initiation fee and annual golf dues in effect at the time of application. Third Degree Master Masons who join the I.G.A. under this provision may not play in I.G.A. or Irem  C.C. tournaments as an I.G.A. Member, but may play as a guest. If the Third Degree Master Mason does not become a member of Irem Shriners within one year of his application to the I.G.A., he shall forfeit his initiation and will not be eligible for I.G.A. membership until he becomes a member of Irem Shriners and pays the application initiation fee and annual golf dues in effect at that time.

 

E.         I.G.A. Membership Rules

 

1.         Golf membership is as defined in the IGA By-Laws.

 

2.                  An initiation fee, as determined by the Irem Shriners Board of Governors will be assessed for an application who has not been a member of the I.G.A. for over one year.

                       

3.         I.G.A. Members may take a leave of absence upon approval of the IGA Executive Committee, and must pay a maintenance fee of $50.00 for medical reasons or $100.00 for any other reason.

 

 

 

F.         Procedure for Reporting a Violation of Rules and Policies

 

1.         Any I.G.A. Member may report any violation to the Pro, the President of the I.G.A. or

to any member of the I.G.A. Executive Committee by signing a form available in the Pro Shop.

 

2.         The Pro, I.G.A. President or member of the Executive Committee in receipt of such report will submit the report to the President of the I.G.A.,  who will refer the report to the Disciplinary Committee of the Executive Committee as appointed from time to time.

 

3.         The Disciplinary Committee will review, evaluate and investigate the report, including but not limited to, interviewing the complaining I.G.A. Member, the accused I.G.A. Member and any relevant witnesses.

 

4.         Once the investigation is complete, the Disciplinary Committee shall submit to the Executive Committee either a Cause For Disciplinary Recommendation or a No Cause For Disciplinary Action Recommendation.

 

5.         If a Cause For Discipline Recommendation is issued by the Discipline Committee, the following procedure will be followed:

 

(a) The Executive Committee will issue a written notice to the accused I.G.A. Member indicating that a Cause For Discipline Recommendation has been filed against him and that the accused I.G.A. Member has seven (7) calendar days from the date of the notice to request a hearing in front of the Executive Committee if he so desires. This request for a hearing may be verbally given to the President of the I.G.A. or in writing directed to the President of the I.G.A. A copy of this notice of Cause For Discipline Recommendation shall be sent to the Potentate of Irem Shriners and to the complaining I.G.A. Member.

 

(b) If the accused I.G.A. Member requests a hearing, the President of the I.G.A shall schedule the hearing on an as needed basis, and as early as practical within the discretion of the President of the I.G.A.

 

(c) If a hearing is scheduled and held, the Executive Committee shall provide an opportunity for the accused I.G.A Member to address the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee shall provide the complaining I.G.A. Member and the chairman of the Disciplinary Committee with an opportunity to address the Executive Committee if they should so desire. Following the hearing, the Executive Committee will issue its decision, including any discipline and/or penalties, in writing to the accused I.G.A. Member with a copy to the Potentate of Irem Shriners. The accused I.G.A. Member then has a right to appeal the decision of the Executive Committee directly to the Potentate of Irem Shriners.

 

(d) If the accused I.G.A. member does not request a hearing as permitted under Section 5(a), the Executive Committee will review the Cause For Discipline Recommendation and issue its decision, including any discipline and/or penalties, in writing to the accused I.G.A. Member with a copy to the Potentate of Irem Shriners. The accused I.G.A. Member then has a right to appeal the decision of the Executive Committee directly to the Potentate of Irem Shriners.

 

6.         If a No Cause For Discipline Recommendation is issued by the Disciplinary Committee, the following procedure will be followed:

 

(a) The Executive Committee, at its next regularly scheduled meeting, will review the No Cause For Discipline Recommendation and either approve or reject the recommendation.

 

(b) If the Executive Committee approves the No-Cause For Discipline Recommendation, the Executive Committee will issue a written notice to the complaining I.G.A. Member and the accused I.G.A Member indicating that the Executive Committee found that there was no cause for discipline relative to the matter investigated by the Disciplinary Committee.

 

(c) If the Executive Committee rejects the No Cause For Discipline Recommendation, it may issue a Cause For Discipline Recommendation and follow the procedures outlined in Section 5.

 

7.         Penalties/discipline will be assessed by the Executive Committee of the I.G.A., to include but not be limited to a warning letter or loss of golfing privileges.

 

G.        DRESS CODE

 

Acceptable attire is required at all times between March  1st and October  31st at Irem Country Club Golf Course. Gym shorts, tennis shorts, tank tops, jams, under shirts, T-shirts, jeans or any denim material and the like are not acceptable and will not be tolerated. Walking shorts and shirts with collars are acceptable. Shirts must be tucked in pants/shorts. Acceptable attire is required at all times in the Irem Country Club Clubhouse.

 

H.        CART RULES

 

1.         Carts must be used between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and before 5:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

 

2.         Cart rules posted in Pro shop shall be followed by all Golfers

 

3.         Rain Check Policy:       Completion of 5 holes constitutes 9 holes.

Completion of 14 holes constitutes 18 holes

 

4.         Carts are to be kept off tees and at least 35 feet from greens. Keep out of wooded areas and away from and out of roped off areas.

 

5.         90 degree rule always in effect except when crossing fairways are prohibited by cart path rules posted in Pro Shop. Carts should be used on cart paths when cart paths are available

 

6.         A person must be 16 years old and hold a driver's license to operate a cart. A temporary permit is not acceptable.

 

7.         No carts are allowed down the right side of number 3 starting from the top of the hill to the edge of the pond.

 

8.         No pull carts are allowed on the golf course.

 

 

 

I.         DRIVING RANGE AND PRACTICE AREA RULES

 

1.         Hours of operation:  The driving range and practice areas will be open on a daily basis with the following exceptions:  Mondays and Thursdays the driving range and practice area will not open until 10:00 a.m.  If the course is closed for any reason, the driving range and practice areas will also be closed.  The driving range and practice area may also be closed at anytime at the discretion of the Course Superintendent or the Pro.  All IGA members and quests must abide by any closed notification posted at the driving range and practice area. 

 

2.         Public use of the driving range or practice area is strictly prohibited.  IGA Members, Shriners and playing guests only.  Outside golf tournament participants will be allowed to use the range and practice area only during the period preceding the start of the golf tournament.  The cost for one (1) bucket of balls for all outside event participants will be six ($6.00) dollars. 

 

3.         Junior members sixteen (16) to twenty-one (21) years of age must provide proof of age at the pro shop to obtain tokens.  The number of tokens for practice balls for junior members will be at the discretion of the pro shop.  Unless otherwise approved by the Pro, all junior members younger than sixteen (16) years of age must be accompanied by an adult IGA member.   

 

4.         Each IGA member will be provided with one key, which will allow access to practice balls.  There will be no limit on the number of practice balls used.  In the event of a lost key, the IGA Member will be charged five ($5.00) for a replacement key.  Playing guests will be allowed to use practice balls provided by the IGA member they are playing with and will have full range and practice area privileges.  

 

5.         Unauthorized use of keys will be cause for disciplinary action as provided in the general rules of Irem C.C. Golf Course.

 

6.         Shriners will have full driving range and practice area privileges upon showing a current membership card at the pro shop. Shriners will be allowed to purchase unlimited amounts of practice balls at a cost of five ($5.00) dollars per bucket. 

 

7.         All IGA members, playing guests, junior members, shriners and outside tournament participants must replace all divots with material provided.  Failure to do so will be cause for disciplinary action and or suspension of driving range and practice area use.

 

8.         Use of the driving range and practice area by High School Golf Teams is prohibited unless otherwise approved by the PRO.         

  

Effective: March 13, 2008

 

These General Rules of the Irem Country Club Golf Course replace any previous versions of the I.G.A. General Rules. All previous versions of these rules shall be null and void.
